Oliver Queen might’ve died during Crisis on Infinite Earths, but Stephen Amell recently revealed on Michael Rosenbaum’s Inside of You podacast that he’s pitched a ninth season of Arrow to Greg Berlanti just in case ongoing pandemic causes more disruption for the network. It’s not the first time Amell has discussed the show with Rosenbaum, as he previously opened up about how disappointed he was that he filmed his emotional death scene alone instead of with Caity Lotz and Grant Gustin.

Arrow star Stephen Amell is currently filming wrestling drama Heels in and around Vancouver after saying he wouldn’t return as Oliver Queen after the character’s death. But as the ongoing pandemic continues to cause havoc for the film and TV industry, he explained that he spoke to Greg Berlanti about reviving the series in case The CW can’t get actors up to Canada. Amell noted that Berlanti almost didn’t believe him at first and he had to convince him by saying “Yeah, of course, I’m f**king serious.” Take a look at the star discussing Arrow season nine below.

“I called Greg up and said just that. I said, ‘Look, I hope this doesn’t happen, but if everything goes to sh*t and you guys can’t get actors up here because of issues about mostly American actors crossing into Canada, and if things can’t be figured out, here’s the deal man. I’m here and if I have to stay here, I want to work. If I’m going to work, let’s just figure out a way to bring Oliver back from the dead.’”
