Living with uncertainty: The Way leaders in American Airlines, Salesforce, Slack, and Diageo are Going Beyond Catastrophe mode

Months to the pandemic, mature company leaders are attempting to transfer their businesses beyond emergency mode–that are simpler if they had a better ending in sight.

“We are beyond the actual disaster manner, [but] we’ve only come to realize that unevenness will be here to stay together for quite a while,” Julie Hamilton, chief business officer in Diageo{} on Thursday. “We are going to need to live with doubt and unevenness, particularly in an international organization.”

Hamilton was among many senior executives talking at a Fortune Most Powerful Women virtual occasion on Thursday, focusing on the way their businesses have–and have not –moved beyond the very first panicked months of reacting to this COVID-19 pandemic and the consequent economic catastrophe.
