Gal Gadot Wonder Woman 1984Wonder Woman 1984 star Gal Gadot received a huge pay rise for appearing in the sequel from director Patty Jenkins.

A new report from Vanity Fair reveals just how much Gal Gadot earned for appearing in Wonder Woman 1984 after getting just $300,000 for the first film. Given how monumentally successful Diana Prince’s solo film was around the world both critically and commercially, it isn’t surprising that the star was given a large pay rise to reprise her role in the second film. In recent news, director Patty Jenkins dismissed the idea that the sequel could go straight to streaming instead of getting a theatrical release – saying that it’s never been discussed.

According to Vanity Fair, the actress was reportedly paid $10 million for appearing in the sequel, which is a huge jump from the $300,000 she got for her role in the first film. Although as other outlets noted, this is still significantly less than other DC stars, with Jason Momoa earning $14 million for Aquaman. At least Warner Bros. has recognized that Gal Gadot deserves a bigger check for her work, but the studio will likely need to stump up more money if they want the actress to come back for a third film.
