A favorite smartwatch made specifically for kids includes an undocumented backdoor which makes it feasible for a person to remotely catch camera snapshots, wiretap voice calls, and monitor places in real time, a researcher stated.

The X4 smartwatch is promoted by Xplora, a Norway-based vendor of watches. The device, which retails for around $200, runs on Android and provides a variety of capacities, including the capability to create and receive voice calls into parent-approved amounts and also to deliver an SOS broadcast which alerts emergency contacts into the positioning of this watch. Another program that runs on both smart phones of parents permits them to control the way the watches are utilized and receive warnings if a kid has strayed past a current geographical border.

But that is not all

It ends up that the X4 includes something different: a backdoor which went undiscovered till a few notable electronic sleuthing. The backdoor is triggered by sending a encrypted text message.
