Chrissy Teigen shared on Sunday night (Sept. 27) that she’d been hospitalized over the weekend due to heavy bleeding she’s been experiencing while pregnant.
As she explained via her Instagram Stories, the model has been on strict bedrest “for a few weeks” as a result of her high-risk pregnancy. “I get up to quickly pee and that’s it. I would take baths twice a week, no showering, just as little as possible,” she explained.
“But I was always, always bleeding. I’m about, like, halfway through pregnancy and the blood has been going on for like a month. Maybe a little bit less than a month, but we’re talking, like, more than your period, girls. And definitely not spotting. A lot of people spot and it’s usually fine. But yeah, mine was a lot.”
While Teigen added that she’s “usually at [her] happiest pregnant,” she decided to check herself into the hospital after the bleeding worsened, likening it to “if you were to just turn a faucet on low and leave it.”
Following her Instagram Stories, the Cravings author followed up on Twitter, writing, “I just shared as much as you need to know about what’s goin on, on insta stories – medical Twitter I beg you to please not diagnose me as there are so many factors that make me different from your patients.”
Teigen is currently pregnant with her third child, which she hilariously and accidentally revealed was a boy last week on social media, with husband John Legend. The couple also share daughter Luna, 4, and son Miles, 2.
