BTS Sets Release Date for New Album ‘BE (Deluxe Edition)’

BTS ARMY, rejoice! The K-pop giants have set a release date for their new album.

The seven-member group will release BE (Deluxe Edition), the follow-up to 2020’s Map of the Soul: 7, on Nov. 20, per a tweet from Big Hit Entertainment. Pre-orders begin at 10 p.m. ET Monday (Sept. 28).

“The new album imparts a message of healing to the world by declaring, ‘Even in the face of this new normality, our life goes on,’” BTS said in an announcement, according to Variety.

“For this album in particular, the septet took a step further and was involved not only in the music making process, but also in the overall production: concept, composition, design, etc.,” the announcement notes, adding that the set “reflects the thoughts, emotions and deepest ruminations of BTS while working on the album. This new project offers an even richer musical spectrum experience as well as the most ‘BTS-ish’ music yet.”

BTS are currently gearing up for a weeklong takeover of The Tonight Show that will have them performing, chatting and playing games during the week of Sept. 28. “BTS Week” will feature a unique performance every night, including a blitz through their chart-topping hit “Dynamite,” as well as skits with host Jimmy Fallon and a virtual interview.

BTS recently made history with “Dynamite,” its first-ever English-language track. Earlier this month, the song became their career-first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The track’s official music video also broke the YouTube record for the biggest first-day debut with 101.1 million views within 24 hours of its release.
