The Recording Academy and Color of Change will host “Change Music,” a virtual diversity, equity and inclusion summit on Oct. 1 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. PT. Media and music industry professionals are invited to register.
The Academy describes it as “a timely conversation with key industry leaders about best practices and strategic ways to drive long-term, systemic change within the music community.”
In addition, the Academy will discuss progress made toward closing diversity, equity and inclusion gaps at the Academy and within the industry, and its response to #TheShowMustBePaused demands.
The event will feature several panels with topics such as shifting culture, amplifying voices, diversity and inclusion officers in music, leadership in action, building together, harnessing power and driving change.
