Gigi Hadid commemorated the birth of her baby girl on Wednesday (Sept. 23) with a sweet post on social media.
“Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love,” she captioned the black-and-white photo of the baby grasping longtime love Zayn’s thumb with her tiny hand.
The supermodel’s sweet announcement came just shortly after the former One Direction-er confirmed the news with a similar post of his own, writing, “Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful…to try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together x.”
Hadid was first linked to the singer in late 2015, and later starred in the steamy music video for his debut solo single “Pillowtalk.” While the couple’s relationship has been on-and-off over the last half decade, Hadid publicly confirmed her pregnancy back in April during an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
While neither mom nor dad has revealed the newborn’s name as of yet, her birth comes on the heels of Zayn announcing the forthcoming release of his first solo single in nearly two years. Titled “Better,” the song and its accompanying video are both set to drop Friday (Sept. 25). Earlier this summer, the singer retroactively added PartyNextDoor collab “Still Got Time” and Top 5 hit “From Dusk Till Dawn” featuring Sia to the track list of his most recent album, 2018’s Icarus Falls.
