How to Watch the ‘Time100′ TV Special

The “Time100″ television event will give viewers a special look at the world’s most influential people of 2020 ahead of its Time print debut for the first time ever.

Time100 will have a full reveal of each Pioneer, Artist, Leader, Icon and Titan in the categories, as well as exclusive interviews and musical performances. Leading up to tonight, fans can vote in the Time Readers’ Poll for influential people who impacted this year. Their options included: Lizzo, Lil Baby, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Billie Eilish, Yo-Yo Ma, Fiona Apple, BTS, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, BLACKPINKBeyoncé, Harry Styles, J Balvin, Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, Oprah Winfrey, and Lady Gaga.

“The 2020 TIME100 list will recognize the extraordinariness of this year, and we look forward to bringing together new honorees and TIME100 alumni for essential conversations on harnessing the power of influence to forge genuine progress,” said Dan Macsai, executive editor of Time and editorial director of the TIME100, in an ABC press release.

Mascai also mentioned that notable Time100 alumni will appear during the program, including Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, Kumail Nanjiani, John Legend, Sandra Oh, and Trevor Noah. Healthcare workers will be honored this year for their work in combatting the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“This year it feels like the world has changed in a pretty dramatic way, so there are more doctors, nurses, health officials and scientists on this list than ever before in large part in the role that they played in the global response to COVID-19,” Macsai said.

The Time100 TV special will air on Tuesday (Sept. 22) from 10 to 11 p.m. ET on ABC. The full 2020 Time100 list will go live on Time.com along with the ABC broadcast segment. The Time print magazine will hit newsstands on Friday, Sept. 25.
