Authorities in Alberta, Canada, detained a motorist in July who had been moving 140km/h (87mph) at a Tesla Model S. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police declared the arrest yesterday.

The officer reported seeing”both front seats entirely reclined and occupants seeming to be asleep.” The automobile”seemed to become self-driving,” that the RCMP states. After the officer turned on his emergency lights, the car sped around 150km/h (93mph).

Finally, the RCMP hauled on the 20-year-old motorist and charged him with speeding. They later included a hazardous driving charge.
