Elizabeth Olsen’s ‘WandaVision’ Finale Has Two Surprising Post-Credits Scenes

WandaVision Scarlet Witch

WandaVision Scarlet WitchWandaVision has finally come to a close, but the finale of the Elizabeth Olsen series features two surprising post-credits scenes.

Warning! Major spoilers ahead for WandaVision episode nine!

After nine mysterious episodes, WandaVision has finally finished. It was a satisfying finale, rounding off this chapter of Wanda Maximoff’s arc while also pushing her into strange new territory. The finale saw Elizabeth Olsen’s Avenger battle Agatha Harkness for control over the power of the Scarlet Witch – ultimately locking the villain back into her sitcom persona. And although there was another emotional goodbye between Wanda and Vision – it was at least a touching ending rather than heartbreaking. But after the credits rolled Marvel Studios teased what’s ahead.

The first WandaVision post-credits scene saw Monica Rambeau meet with a mysterious S.W.O.R.D. agent in a Westview theater – one who quickly reveals herself as a Skrull, telling Monica that an old friend of her mother wants to meet her onboard a ship in space. Clearly, this is a nod towards the upcoming Secret Invasion series starring Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury – so it’ll be interesting to see how Monica Rambeau figures into that story. The original Secret Invasion comics saw the Skrulls infiltrate every intelligence agency and government in the world as part of their plan for galactic domination. Whether that will be the case in the Disney Plus series remains to be seen since Marvel Studios often plays fast and loose with the source material in live-action.

The second scene shows that Wanda has built herself another home, although she’s done so without brainwashing an entire town this time. Since she’s fully shifted into her true role as Scarlet Witch – she’s experimenting with the sinister Darkhold (a book tied to the Hell dimension) while seemingly sat in her astral form, Doctor Strange-style. She hears a cry from the twins, before blasting the screen to black. Perhaps her attempts to bring Billy and Tommy back from the Hex is the inciting incident in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness… But we’ll just have to wait and see. Take a look at the WandaVision post-credits scenes below.
