Redout was a title that aimed to give its own spin on futuristic ant-grav racing, bringing to mind the likes of WipEout and F-Zero. It was a reasonable effort, though there were certainly areas for improvement; the hope is that its sequel will build on the IP’s potential.
Saber Interactive and developer 34BigThings have now confirmed a release date for Redout 2; it’ll arrive on Switch and everything else on 26th May, so it’s not far away. There’ll be plenty of optimism around it, but it’s worth noting that competitive online multiplayer is going to be limited to six players in the Switch version, half that of other platforms.
