An aspiring indie game developer says it’s been left with no option but to abandon its plans for a ‘New 3DS’ game port after Nintendo announced last month it would be closing the system’s eShop. OtyugraGames is currently working on a roguelike horror title called Dream-Prison Wanderer, which it had previously said would be coming to the 3DS.
In a lengthy message over on the game’s subreddit at the beginning of this month, Otyugra said Nintendo was “indirectly” responsible for this decision – making both physical and digital publishing “utterly infeasible” on 3DS:
