That’s what friends are for.
It’s only around a month before we’ll be able to dive into some shiny new content in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, with the release of the ‘Booster Course Pass’ first wave. Up to the end of 2023 there’ll be six waves that’ll bring a combined 48 courses to the game, priced at $24.99 USD / $32.99 CAN / £22.49 to get them all; it’ll also be included in the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. Wave 1 arrives on 18th March and will include the following:
Golden Dash Cup
Paris Promenade (Mario Kart Tour)Toad Circuit (Mario Kart 7)Choco Mountain (Mario Kart 64)Coconut Hall (Mario Kart Wii)
Lucky Cat Cup
Tokyo Blur (Mario Kart Tour)Shroom Ridge (Mario Kart DS)Sky Garden (Mario Kart Super Circuit)Ninja Hideaway (Mario Kart Tour)
A question we’ve seen posed is whether you’ll need to own the Pass or have the NSO+ Expansion Pack to actually play the courses. The answer is no, if you’re happy to either take your chances in the online rotation or play with a friend that does have access to the Pass.
