What was supposed to be a day of love and well wishes in Barstow, California on Sunday night devolved into a horrific, violent brawl that ended up involving the police and leading to multiple arrests.
A wedding took place on Sunday at a Quality Inn hotel in the dusty southern California desert city. Later that night, as wedding guests celebrated and partied the night away, they evidently caused enough of a ruckus that other hotel guests called the police to register noise complaints.

According to sources with knowledge of the incident who spoke to TMZ on Tuesday, cops were apparently called to the scene overnight on Sunday to address the complaints. Reportedly there were guests at the party who were trained in mixed martial arts (MMA), and had been getting rowdy by wrestling each other in the common grounds of the hotel.
Once the cops showed up to quell the noise from the allegedly rowdy guests, things quickly took a turn for the worst. The outlet published a video which showed what appears to be a person in an officer’s uniform punching a person repeatedly on the ground while other cops push back and corral other wedding guests.
One insider claims the cops came up on a common grass area at the hotel and saw two men wrestling. Not knowing it was allegedly a friendly match, they apparently moved in to stop what they thought was a violent physical altercation with force.
Even more horrifically, the source alleges that the bride — who is pregnant — was “also tased and detained” in the mayhem, and that there were supposedly kids present during the incident. Whew. It’s a lot.
As for the cops, the outlet writes that Barstow PD claims the call came in as a report of four men fighting in the hotel courtyard. The BPD argues that the video clip circulating online is “just a small part of what happened,” per the online outlet. The police department has also indicated they have opened up a use of force investigation to determine why officers appeared to be physically subduing guests in such a manner.
In total, insiders say three people have been arrested for the incident. It is unclear what charges they are facing at this point.

The BPD is right about one thing, at least: there’s not a ton of context to the video as far as what exactly led up to what we see in the clip. Still, those are shocking images. Especially for a wedding!
Then again, who stages wrestling matches at a wedding reception?!
