Sony has reportedly moved Morbius back because of the box office success of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Despite Spider-Man: No Way Home flourishing at the box office, Morbius earned its seventh release date, with the Sony film moving from January 28th to April 1st. At the time, no reasoning was given, with some speculating it was due to the recent rise of COVID cases across the United States.
