Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop casually draws Clint Barton’s traditional Hawkeye suit in a brand new promo for the Disney Plus series.
The marketing for Disney Plus’ Hawkeye has been ramping up over the past few days with brand new TV spots and character posters. While most of the latest promos have emphasized the series’ Christmas setting and high-octane action, the latest promo dials things back and puts the focus on Hawkeye being an Avenger despite not having superpowers.
In the promo, Haile Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop relishes at the idea that Clint Barton managed to be a superhero without possessing any superpowers. Jeremy Renner’s Barton playfully responds by revealing he’s broken his tailbone in his heroic supports. The spot then ends with Bishop handing Barton a drawing of a brand new costume that looks eerily similar to Hawkeye’s traditional, masked costume. Bishop even points out the mask and says it look like an H, for Hawkeye.
The wait for Hawkeye is almost over, as the Disney Plus series is set to debut in less than a week. Hawkeye will be the final Marvel Studios series for this year, so it seems fitting that the show takes place during the chaotic Holiday season.
Here is the synopsis for Hawkeye:
“Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.”
Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Brian d’Arcy James, and Alaqua Cox. Florence Pugh is expected to return in her Black Widow role.
Hawkeye is set to premiere with two episodes on November 24, exclusively on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the potential future of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin and Daredevil. You can also subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
