If you blend point and click puzzling with asynchronous multiplayer, the result could be the rather intriguing upcoming release The Past Within. Rather like the multi-screen approach you see in something like The Jackbox Party Pack, players team up across devices to work together and tackle puzzles with their own viewpoints.
Due in Q2 2022 it’s the work of Rusty Lake, a Dutch studio that has produced a series of point and click experiences on other platforms. The Past Within is their most ambitious project, and as you can see in the trailer it’ll be coming to Switch as well, though like in the trailer hopefully you’ll be able to team up and play with those on other platforms as well.
