Will Poulter says he’s honored to join the MCU as Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
The news broke earlier last month that Midsommar star Will Poulter would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Adam Warlock. Warlock’s appearance was briefly teased in the post-credits sequence for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. A so-called perfect being, Warlock is one of the strongest characters in Marvel’s history, holding the ability to wield the infinity gauntlet.
Speaking to Variety to discuss his drama miniseries Dopesick, Will Poulter was asked if he could dish out any details about his upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy character.
“I’m not really allowed to speak about the part. Just given that it’s Marvel I’m sworn to secrecy. But [I’m] very, very grateful to, you know, be talking about something like Dopesick on one hand and talking about something – or, not talking about something – like Guardians on the other. But very, very grateful to be doing both.”
The future MCU actor continued by discussing how he feels “very honored to have been welcomed into the Marvel family.” The star continued by praising the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
“Everyone I’ve interacted with there is great and you know, [I’m] very excited to be part of a franchise like Guardians, which I regard to be like, one of the most creative and unique.”
In addition to Chris Pratt and Will Poulter, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is also expected to star Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Sean Gunn. The film’s core cast members were last seen in Avengers: Endgame.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is currently set to hit theaters on May 5, 2023. Say tuned for all the latest news surrounding the upcoming James Gunn film and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
