The Mandalorian star Giancarlo Esposito takes on another villain role as a new concept design imagines him as Doctor Doom for Jon Watts’ Fantastic Four.
During the Marvel Studios portion of Disney’s Investor Day, Kevin Feige not only announced Fantastic Four, but also shared that Spider-Man director Jon Watts will be the one to helm the reboot. With Marvel Studios now exploring Marvel’s first family, this also means Doctor Doom probably isn’t far behind and many have already been fan-casting The Mandalorian‘s Giancarlo Esposito in the role.
Doctor Doom is arguably one of Marvel’s greatest villains from the comics, but has yet to get the proper treatment in live-action. Now that the official announcement has come, many fans are casting Jon Watts’ Fantastic Four reboot. Giancarlo Esposito is no stranger to villain roles with shows like The Mandalorian and Breaking Bad on his resume and has made him a top choice to play the next Doctor Doom. New fan art created by BossLogic now depicts Esposito as Doctor Doom and it certainly makes a great case for him as the iconic Marvel villain.
