The first action-packed TV spot for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman teases Bruce Wayne’s not-so-fun time as the Dark Knight.
The second trailer for Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson’s The Batman was unveiled at this weekend’s DC FanDome. The trailer expanded on the film’s storyline by teasing The Riddler and Catwoman, while also showing Batman in some high-octane action sequences. The trailer was warmly received by audiences for its unique take on Gotham and the Dark Knight, as well as the action sequences that were teased.
If that wasn’t enough to keep you going until the film’s March release, then Warner Bros. has a special treat for you. The studio has debuted the first TV spot for Robert Pattinson’s unique take on the Dark Knight, which features a beautiful, bombastic strings-heavy score.
The TV spot doesn’t feature any new shots, but the way they’ve been rearranged makes this TV spot worth a viewing. The highlight of the brief trailer is the beautiful strings score that we’ve never heard before. It remains to be seen if music from the TV spot is unique to the promotional footage or if it’s actually part of Michael Giacchino’s score for the film.
The plot of The Batman is being kept under lock and key, but we know the film will follow Robert Pattinson as a younger version of Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his second year as the Dark Knight of Gotham City. The film will also show off the hero using his skills as a detective more than what we’ve seen before in previous versions of the hero. It is also expected to be the first installment in a new trilogy of films with Pattinson.
Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
The Batman will hit theaters on March 4, 2022. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news regarding the DC Multiverse, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video content.
