The first trailer for the Resident Evil film reboot, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City begins the horror anew.
Way back in 2017, it was revealed that a reboot to the Resident Evil franchise was currently in development. Not to be confused with the upcoming Netflix series, this announcement came off the heels of a long-running film franchise starring Milla Jovovich based on the video game franchise of the same name. While the film franchise had been successful, it was criticized by fans of the games for straying too far from the source material.
Over the years, a cast and crew for the film were slowly announced with plot details revealing that the new Resident Evil film’s main story would take inspiration from the first two video games in the franchise. Now at long last, a trailer for the film has been revealed, giving fans a better idea as to what they can expect from the new film.
