You may or may not know this, but as a fashion editor, I receive a lot of emails every day. Some contain hot-off-the-press industry updates while others detail the joys of personalised dog biscuits. (Eclectic is the best descriptive word here.) And amongst the deluge of emails, it’s rare that something really makes me sit up and take notice. But last year, one brand managed it, and that was OMNES. Not only were its designs on-point and its price points accessible, but it had the sustainability credentials to boot. And let me tell you, that is no mean feat.
Every OMNES piece is designed in its London studio and made using recycled or organic materials sourced from producers that are approved by top environmental groups. From my perspective, it makes accessing the world of sustainable fashion so much easier. I constantly wore a pair of wide-leg checked trousers from the brand’s 2020 collection last winter (see my outfit below) and can attest to both their comfort and coolness. But this season, there’s even more to love to go around.
If you like the look of my printed trousers, you should check out the new collection’s Winnie high-waisted pair, which will work a treat with everything from white tees to slouchy roll-necks. I’ve also rated OMNES’s autumn knitwear offering, which is not only versatile but also comes in an array of flattering shades, such as dusty blue and soft beige. So damn chic.
Last but by no means least are the ’90s-inspired party pieces, which are begging to make their grand entrance when Christmas-party season kicks off. While I admire the wearability of the lace-up cami tops (as seen on Lindsay Holland), I also can’t stop looking at this grape-coloured slip dress, which, despite the fact that I’m usually not a purple lover, has really tugged on my heartstrings. Just add colour-clashing orange heels for a spotlight-stealing look. But it’s time to see for yourself, so scroll down to see and shop my edit of the OMNES autumn collection. You can thank me later.
