Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 is expected to see the return of former Peter Parker actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield along with other familiar faces.
Collider reports that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 is looking to bring back Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Kirsten Dunst and Emma Stone for a live-action take on the Spider-Verse. The site appears to be confident that Garfield and Dunst are already on board, with Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures in talks to reach a deal with Maguire, who hasn’t been seen in a live-action movie since 2015’s Pawn Sacrifice. Stone’s Spider-Man involvement depends on her schedule as the actress is rumored to be pregnant.
The report follows the recent news that Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx have signed on to reprise their respective roles as Doctor Octopus and Electro for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3. Representatives for Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have declined numerous requests to comment on the rumors regarding Spider-Man 3.
The yet-to-be titled Spider-Man 3 was originally slated to hit theaters in July 2021 before being delayed due to the ongoing pandemic. It’s currently scheduled for December 17, 2021.
Tom Holland’s Peter Parker was last seen in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:
