‘WandaVision’: Kat Dennings Says Marvel Heard Fans’ Darcy & Jimmy Woo Spinoff Requests

WandaVision actress Kat Dennings said Marvel has heard fans’ requests for a Darcy Lewis and Jimmy Woo spinoff.

As WandaVision dropped each of its episodes weekly earlier this year, fans kept speculating about what’s really going on in Westview. Things started to make more sense in the fourth episode, “We Interrupt This Program,” in which S.W.O.R.D. is introduced and Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) and Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) are brought into the picture, and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) provides intel.

Both Darcy Lewis and Jimmy Woo came from the Thor and Ant-Man films for WandaVision. During the miniseries, the two work together in examining Westview to see what Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) is doing. Some MCU fans really responded to the use of both Darcy Lewis and Jimmy Woo, with some clamoring for a spinoff featuring the two working together on different cases. It turns out that Kat Dennings is also intrigued at the possibility.

In an interview with popculture.com, Kat Dennings was asked about her future in the MCU, and brought up fans’ proposal for a spinoff with Darcy Lewis and Jimmy Woo together, to which she revealed that she believes Marvel has heard such requests:

“It’s always up to the powers that be. I think they took notice of all the comments. I would do it in a heartbeat.”

Kat Dennings also addressed the possibility of returning to the Thor films, having last appeared in Thor: The Dark World:

“I’m ALWAYS up for anything Marvel asks of me!”

It turns out that Kat Dennings is just really enthusiastic about working in the MCU, no matter what project. Whether or not we will see her return as Darcy Lewis in a spinoff alongside Randall Park’s Jimmy Woo or in another Thor movie remains to be seen.

Both Kat Dennings’ Darcy Lewis and Randall Park’s Jimmy Woo were last seen in WandaVision. Here is the synopsis for the Emmy Award-nominated miniseries:

Marvel Studios’ “WandaVision” blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Matt Shakman directed the series with Jac Schaeffer as the lead scribe with Kevin Feige producing; WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Evan Peters as Ralph Bohner, and Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness.

WandaVision is available to stream on Disney Plus. Keep following along to stay up to date on all of the latest surrounding the future of Kat Dennings’ Darcy Lewis, Randall Park’s Jimmy Woo and other upcoming MCU projects and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
