Kevin Feige Says Ryan Reynolds’ ‘Deadpool 3’ Has A Release Window

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed that Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming film, Deadpool 3, has a release window.

Since the Disney buyout of Fox back in 2019, many wondered just what would become of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool film franchise. While there had only been two installments before the buyout, both entries were very well received by critics and were big hits for the studio. On the other hand, many have questioned whether or not the people at Disney would have the stomach for a hard R-rated franchise like Deadpool. As time has gone on, it appears that they do in fact have the guts for it.

Over the past year, both Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Feige have mentioned Deadpool but had refused to say when the film would happen. Earlier this month, Ryan Reynolds dropped a huge bombshell by revealing that he was 70% sure that the third installment would film sometime next year. More recently Kevin Feige confirmed that progress was being made on the project.

While speaking to Comicbook.com, Kevin Feige didn’t give away when the film would be released but stated that Marvel Studios did have a release date window in mind for Deadpool 3:

“We do. And the script is in the works and Ryan is working very hard on it with our writers as we speak.”

Here is the official synopsis for Deadpool 2:

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

Directed by David Leitch from a script written by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick & Ryan Reynolds, the film stars Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, and Jack Kesy.

Deadpool 2 is now available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming third film and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
