Merch from Marvel Studios’ animated series What If…? shows off Karen Gillan’s unrecognizable Heist Nebula.
Marvel Studio’s first animated series What If…? is set to debut later this month, giving us hypothetical deep-dives into various Marvel characters and stories. Some of the ones we’re most excited about include T’Challa being abducted by Yondu instead of Star-Lord, Peggy Carter becoming a super-soldier, and Killmonger saving Tony Stark before his abduction by the Ten Rings organization. Thanks to a new promotional image, a new character variation is on our radar.
A new action figure for Karen Gillan’s Nebula has surfaced. However, this isn’t the traditional Nebula that was last seen in Avengers: Endgame. Instead, What If…? proposes Gillan’s alien/cyborg as a thief, dubbed Heist Nebula. Nebula is pretty much unrecognizable as this rendition of the character sees her sporting blonde hair. The accompanying blurb from the action figure states that Gillan’s new version of the character is “tech-savvy and brave” as well as “an intergalactic opportunist who is ready for adventure…” It remains to be seen how Gillan’s Heist Nebula fits into the series as a whole.
