A brand new trailer for Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi emphasizes the power of the Ten Rings.
In a surprise Wednesday morning drop, Marvel Studios has released a brand new trailer for Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Set to hit cinemas on Labour Day weekend, Shang-Chi is the first Marvel film to take direct inspiration from Asian cinema, particularly the Hong Kong-action films of the 90s. One of the most exciting parts about the film is that Marvel heads will finally get to see the legendary Ten Rings organization in its actual form.
The “terrorist organization” originally appeared in Iron Man and the organization’s leader seemed to have appeared in Iron Man 3. Of course, it turned out that the Mandarin in the Iron Man film was just an actor, and that the real Mandarin was upset that he was using his moniker. With Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings only about a month away, Marvel has dropped a brand new trailer that emphasizes the power of the Ten Rings. In the trailer, we see Tony Leung’s Mandarin recount to his son how important the rings are and we briefly see their full power unleashed on opposing foes.
