Peacemaker actor John Cena wants a DCEU face-off with Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson.
John Cena and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson famously duked it out on the WWE stage and now fans have been clamoring to see them fight on the big screen. Both former WWE wrestlers have starred in the Fast and the Furious franchise, though they haven’t crossed paths in the Vin Diesel franchise. Now, both John Cena and Dwayne Johnson are set to make their DC Extended Universe debuts in The Suicide Squad and Black Adam, respectively. While The Suicide Squad will be hitting cinemas next month, Black Adam has a year to go.
While it’s unlikely that the duo will face off in The Fast and Furious franchise since Dwayne Johnson has bowed out of the franchise, there’s still hope that the formal rivals can get a fight going in the DCEU. Speaking with Comicbook.com, John Cena opened up about wanting to face-off with the Black Adam star again – this time on the big screen.
“You know me. Ready, willing, and able. And answering the phone whenever it rings. I’m good. I think that the excitement is starting to build with fans, whether you talk about the conversation of Fast, or you talk about now the DC Universe. I don’t want to say we’re on a crash course and it’s inevitable. I want to, because I’m a fan. But we’ll see. We’ll see what happens. Tell me what he says.”
