Democratic House lawmakers have had no luck obtaining the Department of Health and Human Services to hand over data on its $250 million advertising effort to”conquer desperation and inspire trust” amid the catastrophic coronavirus pandemic.
However, the lawmakers are in a position to gather files in the national contractors working within the effort –and also the details in these files are”extremely upsetting,” they state.
In a scathing letter to HHS Secretary Alex Azar, the lawmakers revealed a few of those facts, which reveal obvious political partisanship. For example, A-list actors believed for pandemic-related public service announcements were independently rated according to their devotion to Trump along with other political leanings. Of the 274 actors reviewed, just 10 produced the cut. The remainder were reversed, such as Jack Black, that had been dubbed a”classic Hollywood liberal” and Judd Apatow, whoalso, the records state,”considers Trump doesn’t possess the intellectual capability to conduct as President.”
