George A. Romero‘s 1968 masterpiece is memorable for a lot of factors. Surethere’so lots of stunt fanfare, however, the movie is memorable because of its epic portrayal of a Black guy (Duane Jones) at a function which wasn’t based about his race. Interestingly, the manager didn’t possess a specific race in your mind for the lead character — Jones simply happened to be the very ideal performer who auditioned.
Straight outta the 1970s Blaxploitation-era, this mythical movie follows an African prince (William Marshall) who travels to Transylvania. He also ’s intimidated by Dracula himselfsealed in a coffin for centuries, also awakens in ’70s LA.. Obviously, bloodshed ensues.
