Sony has commented on the rumors going around that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will return in Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man 3 starring Tom Holland.
Ever since the award-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse came out, many fans have been clamoring to see the Spider-Verse make its way to live-action with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Speculation has never been greater in the fan community with the surprising news that Jamie Foxx will be returning as Electro in the upcoming Spider-Man sequel. If one Amazing Spider-Man star can return, why can’t another?
Doctor Strange is also set to appear in Tom Holland’s next Spider-Man film before he films his solo film that will deal with the multiverse. With so many rumors going around that both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are set to return as their versions of Spider-Man, ET Canada reached out to Sony for a comment. Here is what Sony had to say about the Spider-Man 3 rumors:
