Brie Larson’s upcoming Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels has received a new logo.
Originally expected to be a standalone sequel to Carol Danvers’ first cinematic solo outing, the title of Captain Marvel 2 was later changed to The Marvels. The title change confirmed that the film would focus on Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers, Iman Velani’s Kamala Khan, and Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau, who has also held the Captain Marvel title.
The official logo for Brie Larson’s The Marvels was revealed during a recent Marvel Studios Phase 4 trailer. The original logo was fairly straightforward, highlighting the three characters who the film would be focusing on. The updated logo was found on the studio’s official site. It trades the fiery orange flash of light in the of the logo background to a less subtle blue. Additionally, the spectrum symbol over the letter “A” has been changed to appear more transparent and reflective. The more transparent letter is likely a nod towards Monica Rambeau’s symbol.
