It’s Here: The #1 Swimsuit Trend of the Year

Summer holidays might not look how we’d like them to this year, but it doesn’t mean we can’t dust off our swimsuits and get ready for the warmer weather that lies ahead. Now, before you get too excited and end up spending all your money on the first cute swimsuit you see, let me share with you one of the only swimsuit trends I think you need to know this season: retro florals. I am officially convinced that if you’re going to be seen in one swimsuit trend this summer, make it retro florals.

Retro florals entail any floral print that looks like it came straight out of the ’60s, ’70s, or ’80s. The nostalgia these funky prints bring is what makes this swim trend feel fresh and different compared to your average floral-printed suit. To further sell you on this trend (in case my championing of it up above wasn’t enough), I have shopped out my favourite takes on the retro floral swim trend below, featuring a smattering of some of my favourite swim brands. From Frankies Bikinis to Reina Olga, I can assure you there’s no shortage of stunning suits below, so get your wallet ready because you’re about to do some serious summer shopping.

Take me to Hawaii and never bring me back.

The colours in this one are next-level.

The tied-up-tummy trend applies to swimwear too.

This tangerine hue just screams summer.

Not that I should be choosing favourites, but if I had to pick, it would be this one.

The neutral tones in this one feel so fresh.

This brand is one to watch, so buy a suit and a matching skirt ASAP.

Straight from the ’70s.

I own this suit and can attest to it being a true stunner.

It doesn’t get much more retro than this.

When it comes to shopping Triangl’s swimsuits, run, don’t walk.

This swimsuit looks like a vintage couch, and I love that about it.

Every Tory Burch swimsuit right now is a complete knockout.

The top on this one is really something else.

This suit deserves a holiday ASAP.
