The latest episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier revealed a surprising new Super Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Spoilers ahead for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier episode four.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier really stepped it up a notch in episode four as the series pushed one character into becoming the latest Super Soldier in the MCU, while Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson fight to stop the Flag Smashers’ and their destructive agenda. The episode picked up in Latvia with Sam, Bucky and Baron Zemo attempt to reason with Karli Morgenthau – who’s planning to create more Super Soldiers for her cause with the leftover serum from the previous episode. Unfortunately for her, someone else gets their hands on it first.
John Walker pocketed a vial of the serum before using it on himself – quickly showing an array of enhanced abilities. The revelation comes after much discussion throughout the episode about what the symbol of Captain America means to the world. Unfortunately, that mantle might be tarnished thanks to Walker’s actions after the devastating loss of Lemar Hoskins A.K.A. Blackstar. He died after Karli killed him with a single punch – causing Walker to lose control and chase after the escaping revolutionaries. In one of the most horrifying moments in the MCU, Walker murdered one of the Flag Smashers using the Vibranium shield in broad daylight, all while civilians filmed him from afar. That’s going to cause some trouble. Take a look at the aftermath of John Walker’s attack below.
What did you think to the brutal ending? How do you think Sam and Bucky will cope with a super-powered John Walker? Sound-off in the comments below!
