Obi-Wan Kenobi star Ewan McGregor has revealed his look for the Star Wars series while rumors swirl about a potential return from Liam Neeson.
With work getting underway on Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi series, the star was recently seen sporting the classic Jedi look for his return to the role. A recent set video teased a Tatooine location for the show, which isn’t surprising since the Jedi was watching over Luke Skywalker after the events of Revenge of the Sith. But the arrival of a new Star Wars book has also got many fans wondering if Liam Neeson will return to play Kenobi’s former master Qui-Gon Jinn in the new Disney Plus series.
Ewan McGregor posed for a photo when visiting a motorbike shop in California, showing off his long hair and long beard for the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. A previous photo revealed that he’s been heavily working out for the role. But the rumors surrounding a potential return from Liam Neeson’s Qui-Gon Jinn come from the new book Skywalker: A Family at War. One section explains that after a decade of learning, Kenobi was able to talk to his old master through the Force. And since the upcoming Disney Plus series picks up ten years after Revenge of the Sith, it doesn’t seem impossible that Liam Nesson could return. Here’s the paragraph from the book.
“Before he and Yoda had parted ways, the old Jedi revealed that Obi-Wan’s beloved master Qui-Gon Jinn had returned from the netherworld of the Force, manifesting his conscious mind even after death. It took 10 years, but eventually, Obi-Wan was able to commune with his dearest friend, resurrected within the cosmic Force.”
