Dutch winner Mathieu van der Poel captured and handed breakaway rider Matteo Fabbro at the past couple hundred meters of the undercover end to win at the penultimate phase of this Tirreno-Adriatico race Sunday. Simon Yates’ in general lead stayed unchanged entering the final man time trial Monday. Van der Poel, who rides to the Alpecin-Fenix group, finished four seconds before Ruben Guerreiro and Fabbro spanned third with exactly the identical period as Guerreiro.
