Physics party puzzle platforming! Pterrific.
There are games you play with friends that cause chaos, like Mario Party or Puyo Puyo Tetris, and then there are games you play with your friends that are chaos. Robotry!, which was announced last night, is one of the latter, keeping company with Heave Ho, Phogs, and that one really excellently weird goat-climbing game, Mount Your Friends, which isn’t on Switch but should be.
By now, you may well be familiar with Robotry’s style of platforming: You control both legs (or arms?) of a little robot lad, and you can use your controller to move them individually, grab onto things, and let go. It’s a simple system, but if you’ve got excellent hand-eye coordination, you can use this simple system to approximate Real Human-Style Walking. Mostly.
