Animal Crossing takes out the top spot.
The Nintendo Switch recently celebrated its fifth anniversary, and Japanese publication Famitsu used it as an opportunity to put together the “top 35” best-selling games in the country since its launch.
While Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the best global seller, Animal Crossing: New Horizons remains the most popular game in Japan. Games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are much further down the list and Super Smash Bros. takes out the second spot.
