Apologies in advance for the royal pun here, but Kate Middleton is undoubtedly the queen of colour. We can probably assume that she’s following in the footsteps of Queen Elizabeth, who always wears bright colours so that she can be spotted in a crowd. Or maybe Middleton just likes her brights (and has brushed up on her spring/summer 2022 fashion trends via our bumper report). Either way, she’s been known to wear trendy colours right as they’re gaining steam, and that was certainly the case today at the annual Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey.
This time, the buzzy colour trend we’re referring to (which happens to be quite pretty and flattering on everyone) is cobalt blue. It’s a hue we spotted all over the A/W 22 runways of Dion Lee, Stella McCartney, Isabel Marant, and Off-White, to name a few. And lo and behold, we couldn’t help but notice that both Zara and COS are brimming with new cobalt pieces, as per usual when there’s a new colour trend brewing.
With that, scroll to channel Middleton and shop the best cobalt pieces from Zara, COS, and some of our other go-to brands.
