Summary
- The Altered Beast leaves Hungry Wolf in search of prey
As we work behind the curtains, our officers have been flying around in Mayhem Brawler with the last major update; Air Supremacy. We have seen a remarkable amount of positive feedback about it, and our crew is happy to hear that players are enjoying the current version of the title!
Some may perceive this as an end, but the moon has not yet completed its waxing. After everything we have done to refine Mayhem Brawler, it is time to bring out the big guns. Or should I say claws?
Finally, She Wolf joins the brawl as a playable character to wreak havoc in the city! Prepare to crunch on bad guys as you throw fiery kicks away to scorch them down. Seriously, how can we not include such a fan favorite on the roster? Players have constantly requested a playable lycanthrope; ideally, She Wolf herself. Our crew welcomed the idea since we plotted to bring one of the bosses as a playable character anyway. Along with She Wolf, the Wolfpack Update introduces the level selection, where you can practice stages or simply play your favorite levels. Arcade mode received a slight revamp as well. There will be no more story-related elements such as in-game dialogues, and a visible timer will be available in the bottom left corner of the screen. Gets your blood pumping! Finally, with the arrival of Mayhem Brawler’s fourth character, a four-Player mode will be available. Cowabunga!
Aside from being a pretty popular character, why She-Wolf? Honestly, we care deeply about this world. Developing a whole new urban fantasy narrative can be complex because the materials at your disposal are far too much. Nevertheless, we did our best to give every character life by assigning important roles to deepen the story and background. Those who played the game will probably be aware that not all Mayhem Brawler bosses are sinister, and they have their reasons and motivations as they act.
Several novels, comic books, and movies told us that everyone has a story, and we cannot judge a book by its cover. Christina is one of those characters that we encounter pretty early in the story, and she can easily get misunderstood by her actions. But in the end, she is just trying to stay away from foul relations. As her uncle is behind silver bars, any criminal act related to Petrozza can affect Christina almost immediately. Nevertheless, Lycanthropes are short-tempered creatures. It is only natural to get physical when things get hot under their collar. No wonder she straight-off jumped on the trio during their investigation. But even after a fight to the death, they will not hold a grudge against anyone. It is all fair game, as long there are no grievances between the two. At least Star says so! Regardless, she is a significant character in the world we have created.
Compared to Christina’s boss variant, you will see more transformation and ferocious action with her playable counterpart. She Wolf’s abilities can apply Bleed and Exposed condition effects, allowing her to deliver fatal slashes, bites, and kicks against her prey. Her signature move Flame Arrow is present as an air special, along with her dashing slide kick. Pun intended! Not to mention her slide can hit knocked down enemies, allowing her to keep the offense at maximum, leaving no rest for the wicked!
At Hero Concept, we hope that our players enjoy Mayhem Brawler‘s second major update. With a brand-new playable character, revamped game modes, and level selection, it will surely deliver a refreshing experience. We cannot wait to hear your thoughts! The 2.1 Wolfpack update is available today for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for free.
