Pokémon Legends: Arceus is already proving to be a sales success, with plenty of positive buzz from fans that have made the jump. However, an ongoing debate around the game has related to its performance, especially its graphics and the quality of Game Freak’s engine. Even a number of fans that love the game itself have shared disappointment with the visuals, especially when compared to other major games on the Switch.
Now Digital Foundry has given an interesting analysis of the game’s technical aspects, which seems pretty fair and balanced to us. In the video above the team goes through resolution, framerate, and various aspects of the game’s technical performance. It makes some comparisons, too, notably with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Monster Hunter Rise.
