The other day I was tidying up my everyday makeup draw which tends to throw up over my chest of drawers throughout the week and I noticed something. Fenty Beauty has a chokehold over my makeup bag. And it’s not just my makeup, my skincare and body care have all had the Fenty treatment in my beauty routine.
From the Fenty Skin Butta Drop Whipped Oil Body Cream that envelops winter ravaged skin to the event-ready Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation I am a huge fan of Rihanna’s product ranges. If I’m ranking her three ranges it’s got to be as follows; Fenty Beauty is number one reasons why coming below, Fenty Skin bodycare and then the skincare. The makeup is so good I think I could easily replace all of my everyday products with Fenty and be happy. The only things I don’t particularly love is the Stunna Lip Paints and the MatteMoiselle Lipsticks. They are objectively great; long-lasting and highly-pigmented but the texture of both products is too drying for my lips. So, when I learned about a new launch in the lip category I was over the moon.
Wearing the Fenty Beauty Icon Lipstick in the shade Flaunty Auntie.
Fenty Icon Lipsticks are the perfect next launch from the brand. It’s what I’ve been waiting for, for sure. The texture is light and glides on easily and feels comfortable to wear thanks to the hyaluronic acid and conditioning vitamins C and E in the formula. It’s honestly one of the smoothest lipsticks I have ever applied and the finish is a satin, erring on the matte side. I normally need to always wear a lip liner to prep for lipstick and gloss to outline my lips but the bullet shape (which looks like Rihanna’s iconic cupid’s bow) makes precision application really easy.
There are 10 shades to pick from 7 neutrals and 3 reds. My favourites are Flaunty Auntie a brownish burgundy (above) that gives my makeup look a nineties vibe I live for. Major Magnate is a perfect nude for my skin tone, the cool toned brown is a new go-to for my no-makeup-makeup look. For now, Flaunty Auntie is the lipstick that is taking pride of place in the Icon case which is refillable and bought separately to the lipstick bullets.

The best bit is that the lipsticks layers faultless under the Fenty Gloss Bomb Lip Glosses for a truly showstopping pout. You do need to do a few touch ups throughout the day but I can cope with that in exchange for great pigment and comfortable wear.
I use this when I have an event that means my legs are going to be out in the winter. I go an awful shade of dull Nov-Feb so I need the extra glow and this packs it on.
This specific clear shade is ideal for topping the Icon Lipsticks, it gives that a 3D finish.
I love a shimmer-free bronzer for a more realistic lookand this cream out blends in easily worn alone or on top of a base.
The matchstixs are also available in a shimmery finish but I prefer the mattes for fuss-free contouring.
As an oily girl blotting powder is ket for me and this is the first one I hit pan on in ages.
A real crowd-pleasing cleanser it’s soothing and removes makeup without stripping skin.
Slathering on oil can be risky if you’re abut to get dressed but you can apply this post-shower and it sinks in and nourishes with tropical butters and glycerin.
Definitely a firm beauty editor favourite, this SPF is hydrating and applies smoothly over your AM skincare. Next up, the mid-length styles that make hair look thicker.
