Mortal Kombat 2 promises to be bigger, better and bloodier.
Last year saw the return of the Mortal Kombat on the big screen and it seems the reboot has been successful enough to score a sequel.
According to an exclusive over on Deadline, New Line Cinema has hired Jeremy Slater to write the Mortal Kombat 2 script. He’s the head writer of the upcoming Marvel/Disney+ series Moon Knight. Apart from this, nothing else is really known about the sequel just yet, but according to Slater it will be “bigger and better and bloodier”:
