Nintendo has published a statement warning consumers of fake web pages designed to look like the company’s online store, highlighting the dangers of submitting your details to such sites.
The statement (Japanese) talks about a specific case recently discovered by the company; the fake website in question uses Nintendo’s logo illegally, making it appear as if it’s the real deal, and offers Nintendo Switch products at discounted prices. It’s warned that the fake site, which has not been linked to, has “nothing to do” with Nintendo.
