“There’s always room for improvement”.
There aren’t many indie titles as popular and as loved as Stardew Valley – and for good reason, it’s rather excellent – but with a brand new game on the way, will its developer Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone have any time or inclination to provide further updates?
Already an impressive game from the off on Switch, Stardew Valley was last treated to major update almost a year ago, when its long-awaited version 1.5 update dropped in February 2021. It’s seen smaller tweaks since then, but with the game now being packed full of features and with Barone’s next intriguing project Haunted Chocolatier now in development, it’d be easy to assume that Stardew’s evolution has come to an end.
