The Matrix Resurrections producer James McTeigue has revealed that there are currently no plans to make a fifth film in the franchise. When The Matrix first debuted back in 1999, it blew everyone away with its ideas, themes, and visual effects. The story would eventually seemingly conclude in 2003 with the films The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions both being released that year.
