Venom: Let There Be Carnage director Andy Serkis is hoping to return for the third film.
While all eyes might be on Spider-Man: No Way Home, Andy Serkis is eager to take on the third film in the Venom trilogy. Venom: Let There Be Carnage ended with a major bombshell that saw Eddie Brock and his trusty symbiote get folded in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. How? We don’t know exactly, but it’s clear that Venom has beef with Tom Holland’s Spidey, and things are going to get rather dicey for the duo in the upcoming third film.
In a recent chat with Metro to discuss Venom: Let There Be Carnage‘s home video release, Andy Serkis discussed how he would love to close out the Marvel trilogy and how he’s hopeful that a third film will be made.
“I mean, yeah, of course. It’s such a wonderful world to play in. I’m sure there will be [more], I’m sure there will be. Well, hopefully…. I don’t want to count our chickens. But yeah, of course. It was such a fun world to play in.”
Since then, Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal has confirmed that a third Venom film is in active development, albeit in the early stages. The brass at Marvel and Sony are currently occupied with the impending release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which will hopefully answer the major (and potential multiversal?) bombshell dropped at the end of Andy Serkis’ Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit theaters on December 17, 2021, while Venom: Let There Be Carnage is available on Digital and will hit 4K UHD, Blu-Ray, and DVD on December 14th.
