Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has revealed whether or not other Netflix stars could potentially join Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in the MCU.
Kevin Feige dropped a major bombshell when he revealed that should the Marvel Cinematic Universe utilize Daredevil, the Man With No Fear will be played by none other than Charlie Cox. The Netflix series originally starred Cox in the lead role and ran for three seasons before being shelved by Disney.
With the news that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is set to return in the MCU, many have wondered if other Netflix heroes like Jessica Jones and Luke Cage will get the same treatment. In a chat with ScreenRant, Kevin Feige simply signaled that fans should see what happens in upcoming Marvel projects.
“I always say that whenever a character comes back into the Marvel sandbox, it becomes another tool in the storytelling ability of the MCU. As I said before, the good news is, all will be revealed when people actually finally watch.”
Rumors have suggested that Vincent D’Onofrio will return as Daredevil‘s Kingpin in an upcoming episode of Hawkeye, which adds validity to other Netflix characters appearing in various pockets of the MCU. It remains to be seen if other Netflix heroes and villains get the same treatment in the future, but seeing as fans are eager to see the likes of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage return, it’s quite telling that Kevin Feige hasn’t outright said no.
Charlie Cox’s Daredevil has been rumored to appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Here’s the synopsis:
“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”
Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx, Thomas Haden Church, and Rhys Ifans with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield heavily rumored to appear.
