HBO Max has released a brand new trailer and poster for James Gunn’s upcoming Peacemaker series.
The DC Extended Universe is set to kick off 2022 with a bang. Their first release of the year will be James Gunn’s Peacemaker, a spin-off series from The Suicide Squad. Focusing on the titular character on a new set of missions, the HBO Max series sees John Cena returning in the lead role. The Peacemaker series is also the first serialized project coming from the DCEU.
With the James Gunn series releasing in less than a month, HBO Max has dropped a new action-packed and hilarious trailer that also gives a peek at Peacemaker’s conscience. One of the most stringent and focused members of the Suicide Squad, Peacemaker goes to any lengths to enact peace on behalf of the American government. But as the latest trailer shows, there are some lines that shouldn’t be crossed. We also get brand new looks at A.R.GU.S.’s various team members including the dumb as rocks but efficient Vigilante.
James Gunn also posted the latest poster for the series, which features Peacemaker’s full support team including his eagle, aptly named Eagley.
Peacemaker was created by James Gunn, who wrote all the episodes and directed five of them. The first season will consist of eight episodes, with Brad Anderson, Jody Hill and Rosemary Rodriguez also directing episodes. Clint Mansell and Kevin Kiner will compose the score.
Peacemaker stars John Cena, Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma and Chukwudi Iwuji.
Peacemaker premieres on HBO Max on January 13, 2021. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming John Cena series, the future of Aquaman in the DCEU and more, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more content!
